On Saturday March 29th CCRA along with West Rouge Sports and Recreation Association will once again be co hosting a Wine Tasting evening entitled Journey of the Senses at the West Rouge Community Centre.  Our Events’ Chair Heather Lemieux has details on this event elsewhere in this newsletter.  This event was held for the first time last year in our community and it proved to be so popular    that it is sold out again this year.

 

Our Newsletter Editor Allan Jones has decided to step down and take a less “active” role.  Allan has been the editor for many, many years, going back to a time when we had to lay out the newsletter by manual “cut and paste”.   This took many hours to work out the logistics for each page.  As a former editor of an industry publication, Allan brought his expertise and skills to our newsletter.  He often commented on events and issues that affected our community as well as overseeing the general content of the newsletter.  On behalf of the association and the community I want to thank Allan for his many years of dedication and devotion to the preparation of our newsletter.

 

I am also pleased to announce that Patricia Cruickshank will be assuming the duties of Newsletter Editor.  Patricia has worked with Allan over the past four years and has been instrumental in moving the newsletter to the electronic age.

 

Even though our membership campaign does not get under way officially until May you can buy your membership at any time by using the application in the newsletter or going to our web site www.centennialcra.com and following the instructions under 2008 Membership.

 

Looking ahead to next month Earth Day will be celebrated on April 19th.  More details on this event will be in our April newsletter.
